The Mental Health Running Club
What We're About
The Mental Health Running Club is a supportive community for individuals affected by drug addiction or traumatic events, providing a safe space to share stories, offer encouragement, and collectively tackle struggles through running. The club emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of running, helping members stay present, reclaim agency, and boost endorphins. Founded by a person with complex trauma and PTSD stemming from their family's addiction issues, the club aims to break the stigma around mental health challenges and offer hope to those facing similar experiences. Regular posts include tips on injury prevention, healthy eating, and other running-related topics.
