The day kicks off at 9:00 AM at Centennial Park with a thrilling 5K race, perfect for both seasoned runners and newcomers, certified at 3.1 miles (IL22031NM). Enjoy pre-race festivities such as packet pick-up at the Peru Police Department Community Room from 3 PM to 7 PM the day before, and race day registration starting at 8 AM. Look forward to a lively atmosphere with an aid station at mile 1.5, chip timing by Racing Expectations, and awards for top male and female finishers, along with first place veteran and age group winners. After the race, join us for post-race celebrations starting at 10 AM, featuring live music, delectable food, and refreshing beer from Tangled Roots. Your participation also provides support to local veteran police officers on deployment, making this event a meaningful community gathering.
